Mr. Dong is a highly respected market research expert in the magnesium and aluminum industries, with over 35 years of experience in the non-ferrous metal sector. During the first two decades of his career, he held various positions at China Nonferrous Metals Industry Corporation, China Nonferrous Metals Technology and Economic Research Institute, China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, and Antaike, where he focused on planning, strategy, and information management for aluminum and magnesium.

In 2006, he founded Sunlight Metal Consulting Beijing, a company that provides consulting and information services on magnesium and aluminum to international clients and organizations.

In addition to his role at Sunlight Metal Consulting, Mr. Dong also serves on the expert panel of the Chinese Non-ferrous Metal Industry Fabrication Association (CNFA) and is the China coordinator for the Global Aluminium Foil Roller Initiative (GLAFRI). He is also the executive director of the Magnesium Alloy Branch of the Chinese Society for Materials Research.
